Lakshmi D.N. Lattimer, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Liver Disease. Her clinical interests include colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, liver disease and the gastrointestinal health of women and minorities. Dr. Lattimer received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yale University and earned her medical degree from the Harvard University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed her fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease at George Washington University. Dr. Lattimer has written publications examining women’s health issues in inflammatory bowel disease, as well as inflammatory bowel disease in minority populations. She has also published several book chapters and abstracts. Her professional memberships include the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
