Karan Jatwani, MD began his medical training at Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh, graduating in 2015. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital in 2020. He then pursued a fellowship in Palliative and Hospice Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by a Hematology-Oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, completed in 2024.
During his fellowship, Jatwani received the Mazumdar-Shaw Fellowship Award and the Gerald Logue Memorial Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine and Research. His additional recognitions include the ASCO Merit Award, the SITC Travel Award, and selection as a GRACE Patient Ambassador for 2023–2024. He has contributed to professional activities through service on the ASCO Trainee Committee and the ASCO-SEP Committee.
His research interests include the development of new therapies, the design of clinical trials, and the study of patient experiences in genitourinary cancers, particularly prostate and bladder cancers.
