Thyroid cancer is a rare type of cancer that forms in the cells of the thyroid, a butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of the neck.

Frequent indicators of appendiceal cancer include a lump or swelling in the neck, pain in the front of the neck, hoarseness or other voice changes that do not go away, or trouble breathing or swallowing.
