The Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancer Support Group at the GW Cancer Center is a compassionate, supportive space for individuals affected by GI cancers, including pancreatic, colon, rectal, anal, stomach, esophageal, liver, appendiceal, neuroendocrine, and gall bladder cancers. This group provides a safe environment for patients, survivors, and caregivers to share experiences, receive emotional support, and connect with others who understand the challenges of a GI cancer diagnosis. Led by oncology social workers and healthcare professionals, sessions include educational presentations along with open discussion, helping participants build coping skills, access reliable information, and foster a sense of community and support.
