GW Cancer Center Hosts Inaugural Mid-Atlantic Gynecologic Oncology Consortium

The George Washington University (GW) Cancer Center recently hosted the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Gynecologic Oncology Consortium in Washington, D.C. The event brought togther gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, surgeons, genetic counselors, nurse practitioners and fellows from across the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area for a collaborative dinner meeting.

Presenters at the consortium included Micael Lopez-Acevedo, MD, assistant professor of obstectrics and gynecology at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Chad Hamilton, MD, from Inova Schar Cancer Institute and Mid Atlantic Gynecologic Oncology and Pelvic Surgery Associates. Topics covered included advances in applications, technologies and methodologies of gynecologic oncology, as well as new knowledge and data that impact clinical practices in the field.
