Whether you are a current or prospective resident, GW offers a wide array of comprehensive programs and support throughout all stages of your training.


The Office of Graduate Medical Education serves to support residents throughout their training programs at GW SMHS and offers numerous cancer-related graduate medical education training programs.

Once in our residency programs, consider the Pediatrics Research, Education, Advocacy and Child Health Care (REACH) program, Internal Medicine research concentration and diversity network .

Specialized medical fellowship training for physicians is available through the Department of Medicine at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Subspecialty fellowship training programs are available in a variety of Internal Medicine subspecialties, like hematology and oncology, gastroenterology , hospice and palliative care, and more.
