The George Washington (GW) Cancer Center is pleased to announce the addition of Melissa Bucklin, PA-C, to its team as a Gynecologic Oncology Physician Assistant (PA). Melissa brings extensive experience in providing compassionate, patient-centered care and will play a vital role in supporting the Cancer Center’s mission to deliver exceptional oncology care and advance cutting-edge treatments.
Melissa shared her enthusiasm about joining the GW Cancer Center, saying, “I am thrilled to join such a dynamic team that is dedicated to doing critical work in gynecologic oncology. I look forward to supporting our patients during what is often one of the most challenging times in their lives. One of the aspects of oncology that I find especially meaningful is the depth of the relationships I build with my patients.”
She received her MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Prior to joining the GW Cancer Center, Melissa was a Hematology and Oncology PA with NOVA Hematology & Oncology Associates in Woodbridge, VA.
Maureen Bowers, MBA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, the Cancer Center’s Oncology Service Line Executive Director, welcomed Melissa to the team, stating, “Melissa’s expertise and passion for patient care make her an invaluable addition to our gynecologic oncology program. We are excited to have her on board as we continue to expand our services and enhance the quality of care for the communities we serve.”
