Originally from Colorado, Michael Phillips, MD, FACS, is board-certified in Urology, and is a Clinical Professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, he went on to graduate with honors from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in general surgery and urology at The George Washington University Hospital. Dr. Phillips is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Prior to joining The GW Medical Faculty Associates, in 2010, Dr. Phillips maintained a private practice closely affiliated with the Urology training program at The George Washington University. With a strong interest in resident education, he has received multiple teaching awards from the program. In addition to his clinical interests noted above, Dr. Phillips has been a participant in the Doctors International program at the MFA and has traveled on multiple surgical missions to Central and South America.
